Overview Effect - The shift in awareness astronauts experience when viewing planet Earth from orbit for the first time.
It’s been a struggle to find a balance between the personal and the collective, where the self-seeking creative is met by a call for civic engagement. As I participate in our democracy, my conviction grows to make work with focus, integrity, drive and new energy.
My latest album, Overview Effect, is a result. It’s current. It’s moving. It’s relevant.
The musicians featured on this record come from all backgrounds including Argentina, India, Pakistan and the United States. As a result, embedded in the music are messages of tolerance, diversity, inclusion and conviction -- messages I hold dear.
