The Biryani Boys celebrate Record Store Day 2016 with an exclusive release from Northern Spy Records. Ravi Shankar - Live in Hollywood, 1971 is a double LP that captures the music performed by acclaimed sitar player, Pandit Ravi Shankar at his home in Hollywood California. Accompanied by the great Ustad Alla Rakha, Shankar performs a complete concert including his original composition, Raga Parameshwari. Also in attendance is George Harrison (The Beatles) who along with Shankar generated the spark responsible for organizing the Relief Concert for Bangladesh later that year to raise money in support of UNICEF and the humanitarian crisis left in the wake of Cyclone Bhola.
